Frozen banana, raspberries and granola breakfast.

You need to eat well. That implies the use of simple and natural ingredients completely free of refined sugars, all balanced with nutrients such as proteins, carbs, fats and lots of fruits and vegetables.

We are only two days away till the official beginning of autumn and here in Zürich we are still enjoying warm temperatures, walks by the lake and outings in the forest (well, actually the kids are, I’m still dealing with a mystery discomfort that does not leave me in peace, uff).

Because of long days at home, I had some time to review few of my favourite recipes books and because of this beautiful weather we’re experiencing, I wanted to try part of Nadia Damaso’s gorgeous frozen fruits and granola-based recipe.

In her book I own, “Eat Better Not Less”, Nadia, a 22 years old Swiss girl who I truly support and respect for her amazing work, takes you through healthy, rich and tasty recipes while suggesting there is actually no need to eat very little in order to reach well-being and contentment at the table: you need to eat well. That implies the use of simple and natural ingredients completely free of refined sugars, all balanced with nutrients such as proteins, carbs, fats and lots of fruits and vegetables. The result is a book full of delicious and filling dishes you can simply replicate at home.
Beware: Nadia’s photography is tip top, as we say in Zürich, so we visually won’t probably end up having the same result but do not doubt the taste: luscious.

Today I have prepared a bowl with frozen banana (roughly chopped a banana and put it in the freezer the day before) and bio frozen raspberries bought at the supermarket, mixed together with some almond milk with this baby, added granola by Bio-Granola Simply Forest Fruits, some goji berries, and raspberries, blackberries, pomegranate and chia seeds to finish off.
