“If we’re measuring success, satisfaction, and fulfilment in any area of our life on a scale of one to ten, we all want level 10, right?”
This is what Hal Elroad writes in his book “Miracle Morning”.
When I started to read it, I’ve called my friend K who nicely gave this book to me as a present and we had a quick chat about the over-optimistic and hyperbolic approach of the author (who, by the way, survived to a horrible car accident and took his life head on – respect).
The real thing is: the more I read, the more I feel I’m getting to the sense of the book (I still question the writing style but that’s another story).
I never wanted a Level 8 in health, a sufficient Level 7 in love or a mediocre Level 6 in friendship.
I always wanted a Level 10 in each and every single aspect of my life.
And as difficult as this can seem, the more you do to achieve that Level 10, the easier it gets.
You can start with something very simple.
By being fitter for example: you’ll see yourself improving and you’ll feel more confident, happier, more able to pass that sense of fulfilment to your friends, who’ll like you more.
And so on. It’s a cycle.
The already-achieved Level 10 in your life will just create and easily attract more purpose, dedication and satisfaction from just around you.
I am writing this hoping that my dear friend Cote will still love me when I will be an old crooked lady and that my husband will do the same after our eternal discussion about he knows what: life can be a tough cookie sometimes but the principle remains the same.
Always face zenith.
This week we visited VICAFE, a small espresso bar – take away in Bellevue. The blend is excellent, reviews were right, queue was long, waitress nice.
I am not a fan of drinking coffee on the go, I like to sit down and sip but still, when you look for quality, come here to find your Level 10 caffeine.
