It’s almost holiday time here in Zürich but it’s been so hot lately that it looks like we should have left for a soft and sunny beach a month ago already! Yes, we have badi here, which are totally awesome but the truth is: I am a saline type of person and when the sun is high and shining, I can feel the call of the sea and iodine from miles and miles away. As my friends know, this year I was very late in booking a place to go and now we’re practically hunt each and every letting agency in Costa Rei – went there last year for the first time and loved it: sea, weather, people, wind, food, beach, quiet everything was great and actually perfect for a family.
We stayed in a little house with a garden only at five minutes walking from the beach (I could literally go back to our place to go to the toilet with the kids, priceless!); we unintentionally met with other families/friends – originally from Verona now living in other places like us – we haven’t been seeing for ages. We had the most amazing food delivered fresh by a man providing a daily door-to-door service, from the land directly to your table: do we want to talk about handmade ricotta and spinach ravioli?
So, yes, we struggling to find something only eight days before leaving, not to mention the flights but we’re getting there.
While Pietro was attending the warmest forest days at Kindergarten, Bianca and I tried to find out another cool place to chill while in the city. We have found out DELISH CAFÈ, a peachy place serving coffee and food delicacies of all sorts: from amazing homemade cinnamon rolls to cakes, veggies, breads, salty and sweet, meat or vegan selections. The offer is wide.
You can decide to enjoy your meal here or take away. A plus I love is the communal table: there is no way you sit to one of this board and get disappointed by the encounter you’ll meet (yes ok, there are ways but please keep a bright attitude! :).

The cafè is located in a great area of the city, you can’t miss it if you’re wandering around in Niederdorf and I actually wanted to stop by many times.
The interiors are pretty hipster and very graphic which is something I really enjoy while seated down sipping my cuppa.
Already on your way to the city, eh?
