Do you want to know the secret for a healthy and rich breakfast that works throughout weeks and months? Easy answer: it has to be simple and it can be prepared by everyone without having to go to the supermarket for buying never-heard-of or unknown exotic ingredients.
Don’t get me wrong: I do use superfoods or spirulina, mesquite or açaí and so on but I do not rely on them when I need to prepare a healthful meal, which is, by the way, the most important of the day!
You can find an uncomplicated recipe for your morning perfect start and this one below could be the right one for you too.
The coffee is a lovely moment I still keep for later in the morning as I am taking my iron tablets:
apart from isolated weeks during the year, where I may be following a detox diet (like this one here, if someone is interested too), I always enjoy sipping my cup in peace.
I have started appreciating it even without sugar, with a cloud of milk, which I slightly heat and foam with this guy.
Ah, coffee is strictly made with a Moka, no machine for the espresso at our place!
It may be the smell of coffee which reminds me of home, or the sound of the Moka pot when the coffee is ready… I don’t know: what I know is the total relax that the gesture of sipping gives me, the sense of loosening and the momentary calm I feel when I sit down and drink.
Well, let’s go back to our breakfast!
Today I have peeled a juicy peach, sprinkled it with some cinnamon, added to a bowl with a greek natural yogurt, and filled the plate with the granola I use when I finished the one I prepared.
The granola I buy in Zürich is made by The Tiny Factory and I believe it is the first granola I find on the market and that I like. Hands down.
The produce sustainably and the use only organic ingredients. They are three girls, yes! and they chop, bake and pack in Zürich, yes yes!
If you don’t live in Zürich and you still want to have a good and tasty home-made granola, I suggest you visit Sadia’s website which I adore!
Here is the link to her healthiest granola: you won’t be disappointed by the simplicity of the recipe or by the result of the process.
Plus, Sadia has been an inspiration for me on many levels and I am sure you will find the reading very pleasant, whether you like food or not. She is possibly the one who brought me closer to the world of minimalism, of which I will write soon on the blog.
And that is all for today, I hope you like this simple idea and that you will soon include it into your breakfast routine.
